‘Muswell Hillbillies’ is the tenth studio album by The Kinks and takes its name from Muswell Hill, the area in London where brothers Ray and Dave Davies grew up. The album sold poorly upon its release in 1971 despite excellent reviews. The album has gone on to be regarded as a classic and a fan favourite. The album is bookended by two uncharacteristically lengthy tracks, both with a country-blues vibe ‘20th Century Man’ and ‘Muswell Hillbilly’.
